Fosun Foundation has established a comprehensive material procurement network around Shanghai, with not only licensed vehicles entering and leaving Shanghai, but also hundreds of community and hospital docking points. After confirming the qualifications of the foundation, Chairman Huang Jihong immediately made a decision. Hisun Lithium Energy donated a batch of food needed by special groups, adult diapers, basic drugs for chronic diseases, as well as milk powder, diapers and other materials to the elderly and infants living alone. From the late night of April 20 to the early morning of April 21, six nursing homes in Qingpu District and one nursing home in Hongkou District received 2280 diapers, 6080 pull-up pants and 6000 nursing pads jointly donated by Hisun Lithium Energy and Fosun Foundation, totaling 14360 pieces of suitable materials for the elderly.

On the morning of April 20, 10 nursing homes in Yangpu District received 1362 milk from Hisun Lithium Energy and Fosun Foundation to bring nutritional supplements to 1362 elderly people. The arrival of this batch of materials brought timely protection to nearly 1300 elderly people with an average age of 90.

During the current round of the epidemic, nearly 4.05 million elderly people in Shanghai (as of December 31, 2020, nearly 4.05 million people aged 65 and over in Shanghai, accounting for 16.3 per cent of the total resident population) became the weakest link in the fight against the epidemic, especially the elderly living alone, old age and disabled. Compared with young people who can mobilize resources and make good use of the Internet, it is more difficult for the elderly to take the initiative to obtain materials. In more detail, the elderly's high-frequency demand for diapers was revealed in the outbreak.

The first one to receive diapers was a nursing home in Hongkou District: 1 box of diapers and 1 box of pull-up pants. This is a community nursing home with a total of 3 elderly people, aged 97, 84 and 72.

There are 45 elderly people in the nursing home where Sister Yang is located, with an average age of 70 and 2/3 bedridden. Being in bed means that urination and defecation can only be carried out in bed, and diapers have become a necessity.

The nursing home on Puguang Road was the last one to receive diapers. This is a nursing home with nearly 600 elderly people, with an average age of 85. At 0: 30 on April 21, 2000 diapers, 2944 pants and 5340 nursing pads were delivered. The stack blocked the two courtyard doors.

On the same day, in addition to nursing homes in Qingpu District and Hongkou District, Hisun Lithium Energy and Fosun Foundation sent more than 26000 pieces of epidemic prevention materials to Meilong Nursing Home in Minhang District, 7700 pieces to Jinshan Nursing Home and 1960 pieces to Pudong Huamu Comprehensive Service Center for the Elderly. It also matched 16 elderly people in Kaijian, Huahui and Jiukang nursing homes one-on-one and delivered drugs that could not be cut off point to point.

Sending urgently needed supplies to the elderly is another accurate aid from Fosun Foundation after the "community aid" was launched on April 1.

On April 15, under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, the Fosun Foundation quickly launched the "Old and My Old" project to locate and help the elderly, focusing on the emergency needs of the elderly in Shanghai in terms of food, daily necessities, diapers, etc.

The support of the "old and my old" needs 48 hours on that day, and the project rolls like a snowball. Under the call of the Fosun Foundation, Hisun Lithium Energy quickly responded to the urgent needs of the elderly and made another contribution to the protection of the city.

From April 22 to 24, 61382 pieces of maternal and child supplies and anti-epidemic materials were delivered to Shanghai Children's Welfare Institute, Putuo District Women's Federation and Huangpu District Women's Federation. This batch of materials was jointly donated by Fosun Foundation with Fosun enterprise members Baobaoshu, Nanjing Iron and Steel and caring enterprises Hisun Lithium Energy, Sanyuan, Kaili and Beinmei.

The Shanghai Children's Welfare Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Children's Welfare Institute) is the first stop of the Fosun Foundation's "Young My Child" assistance. There are more than 640 orphans in the hospital, including more than 210 children aged 0 to 6. According to his introduction, more than 480 employees in the teaching, medical, nursing, social work, logistics and other positions of the Children's Welfare Hospital all returned to their posts at the beginning of the epidemic to stay in the hospital to take care of and accompany the children in the hospital.

In addition to taking care of the daily lives of more than 640 children, they are also responsible for the frontline fight against the epidemic. With the previous rescue experience, Fosun Foundation has developed a more convenient and practical "mother and baby bag" for women and children ". The mother and baby bag in the "Young and Young" operation contains baby milk powder, pork crisp, rice paste, children's diapers, children's disposable masks, adult hygiene products, adult disposable masks, disposable nitrile gloves and self-test antigens, a total of 16610 pieces of life and anti-epidemic materials.

Each "mother and baby bag" can be used for 100 groups of infants and their families for 2 to 3 weeks of life.
